Walk 9 - Two Shooting Houses
Length 13m; Grade - Strenuous; Price £10
Description: Join Chris and Alison for a superb, circular moorland walk with fabulous views, taking in two of the more unusual shooting houses in the area. There are two steep sections, the distance is long and the area is remote: full walking gear is required, along with a packed lunch. Circular, with car share to start.
Walk 10 - Haddockstones and Halls Nearly Full

Description: Fountains Abbey is one of the area's most well-known landmarks. However, while many people visit the Abbey and Studley Royal, far fewer are aware of the surrounding landscape. This walk takes in some interesting nearby buildings and features. Circular with car share to start.
Walk 11 - Walking through History in Dallowgill

Description: Join Dallowgill residents Patrice and Phil to visit its varied habitats, finding out about how the area has changed over the centuries, who lived and worked here and what features in the landscape can tell us. Bring a packed lunch. Circular walk with car share to start.
Walk 12 - Heritage Walk - Metcalfes' and the Nidderdale Railways

Description: Local railway and industrial heritage historian, Chris takes you back in time: No 24 bus (£3.10 fare not included) to Knox Manor, along the riverside path, level with some uneven ground, to the Metcalfe's Glasshouse Mill and Mill Pond, past their former mansion at Castlestead; then on to the site of the North Eastern Railway's engine shed and station in Pateley Bridge where we also visit sites associated with the Nidd Valley Light Railway and the Metcalfe's.
