Walk 12 - Dales Way and Hebden Mines

Length 9.5m; Grade - Moderate; Price £9

Description: A gem of a walk through broad expanse and scenic valley. Starting from Hebden, we ascend fields to reach High Lane and Grassington. Then onto the 'Dales Way' to just above Conistone, where we cut back and uphill to Barras, and on to Yarnbury. From here we take a detour via 'The Duke's New Road' to the Cupola Mill and Lead mines. Our return is down the beautiful valley of Hebden Gill. Car share to start. Bring a packed lunch (there will be a tea shop opportunity at the end).

 

Walk 13 - Haddockstones and Halls

Length 8m; Grade - Moderate; Price £8

Description: Fountains Abbey is one of the area’s most well-known landmarks. However, while many people visit the Abbey and Studley Royal, far fewer are aware of the surrounding landscape. This walk takes in some interesting nearby buildings and features.

 

Walk 14 - Mid-Nidderdale 4 Hills Walk

Length 10.5m; Grade - Strenous; Price £10

Description: A circular walk beginning in Pateley Bridge at the heart of beautiful Nidderdale, offering varied landscapes and interesting glimpses of local history and heritage, including quarries, mills, lead mines, monastic influences and medieval roads. With two steady and two strenuous ascents, the views of the dale are extensive and superb.

 

Walk 15 - Pateley Past with Folkfinders Family History

Length 3.5m; Grade - Easy; Price £3

Description: A leisurely stroll around Pateley Bridge, Bewerley and Glasshouses accompanied by Folk Finders Family History. The walk will feature a host of old photographs and information about the industries, buildings and people telling the story of how the area has changed (or not) over the past few hundred years. Includes an optional stop at Harefield Hall for refreshments (not included in the cost).
