Walk 13 - Scar House to Grassington via Great Whernside

Length 16m; Grade - Strenuous; Price £15

Description: A strenuous linear walk from Scar House Reservoir, crossing Angram Pasture and Great Whernside before making our way down into Kettlewell – a distance of 9 miles. Here Walkers can have the option of finishing or continuing along the Dales Way into Grassington – a further 7 miles. Transport will be provided for all options. Full walking gear and packed lunch required.


Walk 14 - A Rake, a Pike, and ...a Way - Ascent of Buckden Pike

Length 8m; Grade - Strenuous; Price £10

Description: From Buckden car park we ascend the ‘Rake’ (part of the Roman road to Bainbridge). The route steepens to reach the Trig-point at 702m on top of the ‘Pike’. Heading over the moor we reach the ‘Memorial Cross’ and descend the Walden Road (old Pack Horse route). Great views on the descent to Starbotton, where we cross the River Wharfe following the ‘Dales Way’ back to Buckden. Circular with car share to start.


Walk 15 - Ice Cream Sunday from G&T's in Risplith  WALK FULL

Length 7m; Grade - Moderate; Price £5

Description: A circular walk in varied terrain, aiming to use enough calories to justify the ice cream (or cake if you prefer) at the end! Cross farm and forest; visit an ancient cross, a hidden lake and our favourite dell. Thanks to G&T’s Ice Cream Parlour for allowing us to park (car share to start).


Walk 16 - A Dales Farm Walk

Length 3m; Grade - Easy; Price £4

Description: Visit John Rayner's superb Gouthwaite Farm. With stunning views of the reservoir and so much to see, we haven't room to list it all. The walk includes history and archaeology as well as insights into life on a Dales farm. Easy, but has climbs and rough ground (no footpaths) and may be muddy. Circular with car share to start.
