Walk 1 - Pork Pie Walk - Pateley to Bolton Abbey WALK FULL
Length 13m; Grade - Strenuous; Price £12
Description: A linear walk from Pateley Bridge to beautiful Bolton Abbey in Wharfedale via Thruscross and Rocking Hall Lodge in the company of local man Tim and some of Pateley’s famous pork pies (not suitable for vegetarians!). You will almost certainly lose more calories than you gain and will also see some fabulous scenery. Transport from Bolton Abbey to Pateley Bridge provided.
Walk 2 - Brimham Rocks with National Trust Tour
Length 8m; Grade - Moderate; Price £8
Description: No trip to Nidderdale is complete without a visit to Brimham Rocks! This walk will start with a 90 minute tour of the Rocks by National Trust staff, then walk back to Pateley via varied terrain. Transport to start.
Walk 3 - Archaeology of Studfold
Length 6m; Grade - Easy; Price £6
Description: Go back in time in Upper Nidderdale with local expert, naturalist and wildlife blogger Nigel Heptinstall https://outdoors2015.wordpress.com/. The walk will take in evidence of early civilization in the area, fossils, land use/cultivation and the amazing Nidd Aqueduct. Circular/car share to start.
Walk 4 - Basic Navigation Skills
Length 6m; Grade - Moderate; Price £6
Description: Learn navigation skills with a moorland walk on the hills above Pateley Bridge with Phil Lyth, a qualified Mountain Leader. During the walk you will explore map interpretation skills, compass work, route planning and knowledge required for a safe and enjoyable walk across open country. Full hill walking gear required.
